16 kilometers off the coast, officers noticed an elephant in the ocean. Here is his rescue story

An elephant fighting to remain afloat in the sea was observed by the officers in Sri Lankan. It was a normal summer patrol and they didn’t expect to see anything like that. Somehow, the enormous monster had gotten dozens of kilometers away from the coast and was needing help.

According to officials, the animal was attempting to cross a tiny body of water at a neighboring wildlife refuge when it became confused by a strong current.

The officer clarified, “They typically swim across or cross small rivers.” This elephant was swept away because the currents were too powerful for it. Brave naval officers took matters into their own hands because the elephant could not save itself under such circumstances.

The elephant kept breathing through its trunk in a desperate attempt to keep afloat. Officials dove into the sea while wearing scuba gear. They attempted to seize the poor giant by tying it up with ropes when they got to it.

She appeared to be aware that she had been saved even as she fought in the water. Just a heartwarming scene. Consequently, she stayed mounted and let the professionals do the rescue.

To assist in calming the elephant, a Navy officer scaled onto its back. They slowly dragged it back to shore with ropes.

Experts in wildlife inspected the wound while waiting on the shore. Before releasing the animal back into the wild, they had to ensure that it was healthy and uninjured.
