A couple who spent 91 years together, shared their touching story

There are so many good stories that are special in their own, about couples who stayed together for a very long time and supported each other in any difficulties But anyway there are stories that may seem more unique. So this is a story about a couple who were together for 91 years! It’d hard to believe, right?

The couple was always in love together. All they did during this years, was sharing love. Zechariah and Shama’a both were orphaned when in their early childhood and that was sadly the first thing to connect them. The reason they were so long together was the thing in Yemen that let children in a very young age get married in this type of cases.

It was so wrong but there was no one to protect poor children so at the time they got married they were only 12 and 10 years old.

They were married as everyone said but lived together only when they were 17 and above saying it is “un-Islamic.” But they were real wife and a husband and didn’t have a right to divorce. They were clearly pressured into a marriage they didn’t wanted, by people who weren’t even their parents or related. So they had no other support besides each other and from that young age the started supporting each other, and didn’t even understand what marriage was and what that meant.

The couple also told many times that they lived in poverty and didn’t have basic things to survive so they suffered a lot. But soon, fortunately they were able to escape Yemen. It happened in 1948. They successfully moved to Israel. At that time they were in their early 20s.

In Israel they built their happy family freely and independent form everyone forcing them to do thing they didn’t wanted to do. They had 11 children and then 64 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. It was real happiness for them to not even know how many grandchildren they have. They loved each other so much and believed they were soulmates and that’s why their road crossed together at a very young age.

It is so precious feeling for them to share all that years together and see all the suffer and happiness together, because it only made them stronger.
