Aaron’s parents were missionaries to Africa, and when the boy grew up, he continued their work. Aaron lived in Honduras and traveled extensively to other countries. In the early 2000s he visited the United States, where he met his future wife.

Rachel spent all her childhood and youth in Mississippi, and after meeting Aaron, she began to travel with him to different parts of our planet.

Their common occupation quickly brought the young people together, and soon the couple got married. For a couple of years they were planning to have children, but they didn’t succeed. Then the couple began to consider taking a baby from an orphanage.

Since Rachel and Aaron spent most of their time in Africa, their adoption choice fell on a dark-skinned baby named Ford. But, having decided that he would be bored alone, the couple also adopted a little girl Catherine (the fruit of love of parents of different races).

Having experienced the happiness of fatherhood and motherhood, the Halberts began to dream of a huge family. Looking ahead, we should say that after a little over two years their dream came true, as Rachel gave birth to triplet girls. And they were all dark-skinned…

How did this happen?

In order to become a mom on her own, Rachel decided to turn to the IVF procedure. Usually this way two babies are born at once, which suited the Halberts completely. And so their future children would not differ from the existing ones in color, they chose the appropriate male cells.

In early 2015, Rachel became pregnant, and after the due date, dark-skinned girls were born. Except there weren’t two, but three! The couple thought it was a miracle.

The birth of the triplets greatly changed the lives of Rachel and Aaron. They had to postpone their travels for a while, but it was well worth it – it was a joy to watch the three adorable babies grow up!

The dark-skinned triplets born to the light-skinned couple are now almost 7 years old. They are very active and hardworking girls, always ready to come to the aid of their parents.

And even though many neighbors are perplexed to look at Aaron and Rachel’s children, the Halbert family is happy and lives an interesting and diverse life!
