A man looks into a beautiful bird’s nest and discovers that it has an unlikely family

Fourteen years ago, Josemar Milli and his wife saw something near their home in Brazil that caught their attention. There were two helpless baby parrots lying near a fallen tree.

The couple rescued the two birds, which ultimately saved more lives!

They took the birds in and cared for them until they were adults. At some point, one of them flew away, never to return. The other parrot decided to stay.

Josemar explained to The Dodo that they named her Louro. “She’s never been in a cage. She just never wanted to leave.

Since then, Louro has been free to come and go. Recently, however, Josemar noticed a change in her behavior. Normally, she would explore the world during the day and always return at night. Only after a while did she go to a small hollow wooden post during the day and sleep outside.

He decided to take a look at what fascinated her so much about the pole. Here’s what he found:

To his astonishment, she had found and apparently adopted three little kittens! Josemar suspected that a neighbor’s cat had given birth to a litter before abandoning them.

Thanks to Louro, they were all rescued. Attempts to leave them with the cat who was probably their mother proved unsuccessful. However, it was clear that Louro had feelings for the kitten. “She considers them her babies,” Josemar said.

Louro’s kittens were adopted by the family and the family cat. “We brought them home and are taking care of them,” Josemar said. “My daughters will keep them,” Josemar said.

Thanks to Louro, the lives of the three kittens were saved and they found a loving home!
