A man was able to find his real parents after 37 years using a homemade map of his memories

A resident of China had been trying to find his biological mother for more than 20 years, and he succeeded with the help of a homemade map. According to the 37-year-old man, he was kidnapped and sold to a family looking for a child.

Lee, that’s the man’s name, grew up in a model family and was not neglected by his parents despite his horror story. But throughout his life, flashbacks from his past kept him from living in peace.

When he told his family about the hazy memories, they decided to tell him the truth. Even though the man had no memory of the city, much less the explicit details, he was still determined to find his biological parents.

Lee drew a map on which he depicted the approximate location of the houses, the landscape, relying only on his flashbacks.

He published it on the Internet, and after a while, Internet users with the help of local police helped the Chinese find a similar place. They were also able to find a woman who matched the description.

A DNA test showed that this was indeed Li’s biological mother. In 2022 the man was going to meet his real parents in person to restore the relationship and learn the whole picture of those events.
