There are billions of people around the world who are obsessed with music. We all have our favorite song, and are ready to listen it over and over again on repeat and not get tired of it. But this woman from England went a little too far.

She is a pensioner from England who has lost normal sleep because of a song that constantly sounds in her head. Doctors are talking about a rare form of musical hallucination.

The last three years of 63-year-old Susan Ruth’s life have turned into a real torture and nightmare. The popular 50s hit How much is that Doggie in the Window is stuck in her head, which she hears day and night. She is just not able to control her mind, and just “listens” that song over and over again.

In the words of many Doctors, the woman is suffering from a rare form of musical hallucination. The pensioner is also terrorized by such tunes as the British anthem and the congratulatory song Happy birthday.

“It started three years ago. Since then, in my head – a radio that can not be turned off. Especially terrible at night, it’s just driving me crazy. I always hear music in my head and even sometimes it feels like it sounds real, next to me. But more often than others it sounds the song How much is that Doggie in the Window?. When I was young, I really loved this song and listened it so many times, if only I knew…” complains Susan Ruth.

In order to somehow alleviate her condition, Susan tries to switch to birdsong. However, intrusive melodies can be played so loudly that a woman cannot even hear her husband’s voice when he talks to her. As you see, the situation is more than serious. It is even disturbing her from listening the voices sounding real, around her.

“The doctors said that nothing would help me and, most likely, I would have to live with this for the rest of my life,” Susan said. It is sad how a favorite song, turned into a “disease” that now doesn’t let the woman to enjoy her years…
