A young couple picked up a strange cat from the shelter whose breed they could not determine.

There are so many breeds of cats in the world, and they are all beautiful and individual. But among all these cats, there are breeds that look very strange and it is not clear what breed they belong to. This story is about the “strange” kitty, whose breed no one could – properly determine.

This story took place in Denton, Texas. One day, passersby found a strange cat on the street and took it to a shelter. The shelter thought that the cat had a skin disease, because his fur was growing in a very strange way: the hair was different lengths, in different places, and the cat was half bald, and also had a black and white color – and a reserved nature.

Some shelter workers thought the strange cat was a cross between a regular cat and a sphinx, but all this is just speculation. The cat spent more than three months in the shelter and no one wanted to take him away. But then a couple visited the shelter, Shia Daspin and Joshua Tucker. They found this cat very unusual and attractive, even in spite of its appearance.

The young couple already had two sphynx cats in the house, and this cat also looked like a sphynx, but had its own characteristics. This cat was named Pepe, and now he was a house cat for good people.

Shia Daspin thought that Pepe was a breed of peterbald or Don Sphynx. But that, too, caused them to have doubts. Already at home – Pepe was frightened at first and was not very active. But after a week, Pepe gradually got the hang of it and became more active, affectionate and friendly.

Pepe was able to make friends with the other cats in the house and began to show affection to his new owners. Now he began to jump on his owners’ belly to get affection and love.

About Pepe’s breed, Shia even thought that it was a feline genetic mutation. In general, she had many different assumptions, but the breed – in the exact order they could not determine. But it does not matter, says Shia, because we like Pepe, he is a very unusual cat, both in appearance and in character. But we liked him very much and now he is our favorite Pepe.
