You probably know Chuck Norris who gained fame for his action films such as “Way of the Dragon” and “Missing in Action”. He also has his own TV series “Texas Ranger and Walker”. Now he is 82-years old. He had many acting achievements and is now well known by the public. He inspired so many people and while he is loved by millions of people his hero of life is his mother. She recently turned 101.

Chuck Norris is the eldest in his family, he has two brothers. By his own word about himself, he was a non-athletic, shy child in his school years. Ray Dee Norris, his father, was unfortunately an alcoholic and his parents got divorced because of that. Wilma Norris Knight is Chuck Norris’s mother. She was born in 1921. She is a very strong woman since she faced many difficulties in her life. Raising her three sons was very difficult for her.

Her mother was raised in poverty and her childhood was very difficult too. She even lived in a children’s hospital for two years and it was hard for her to be away from her family for so long. The reason of It was a rare disease her mother had. When she returned home it was already times of Great Depression. Surviving was hard for everyone including them too of course.

They got married with Chuck Norris’s father when she was only16 years old. Another unexpected challenge for her. And then Cuck Norris wrote already about their family and how they were raised without father, and how he sometimes took a responsibility of being the “father” of the family.

Later in one of the interviews in 2012, she talked about her own book called “An act f kindness” where she presented Chuck as her defender. Later Chuck said it was the best gift for him to be presented like that by her lovely mother. Giving and receiving love was always their main rule and that’s how they were able to overcome all their difficulties.
