Dogs Dogs that lived in the cellar for 10 years find a new life thanks to LAV. A sad story with a good ending by Impress story 17.09.2023 17.09.2023 69 views Share 0FacebookTwitterPinterestLinkedinTumblrRedditWhatsappTelegram This is a story about how these four dogs lived locked in a dark cellar for 10 years. Luckily the LAV volunteers came to their rescue and they returned to life after suffering for years… Among dirt, disorder, chaos, in the dark, without ever being able to go out or move: we can only imagine the hell they have been experiencing all this time and this fact is heartbreaking. Luckily the Anti-Vivisection League intervened to bring them all to safety and allow them to find a new life. The dogs are the mother, Lucy, and the three puppies Duci, Cocco and Melo. The puppies were born in that narrow space. For 10 years the little family lived among dirt, piles of paper, disorder and their own excrement. They had been keeping an eye on them for a long time. Everyone knew that their owner was unable to take care of them. When the man became seriously ill and was hospitalized for a week, LAV volunteers were able to act by helping the dogs. “We had never been able to see the dogs before, because the man didn’t take them with him, even though he spent a lot of time on the streets. We asked to meet them several times, but he always told us that the dogs were aggressive and that therefore only he could stay with them. In reality the man was terribly afraid that we could take them away from him.” These are the words of the volunteer, who together with other colleagues fed the dogs, passing the food through the cracks in the doors that could not be opened. The man from the hospital also threatened them if they dared to take them away. So LAV made a report to the Municipal Police. The four dogs that had lived in the cellar for 10 years were no longer invisible, but they needed to be helped quickly. The man also ran away from the hospital to avoid having his dogs taken away. Then, however, he realized that he needed the LAV, giving up ownership of the dogs and encouraging their transfer to the kennel. Here they are receiving the necessary care. The volunteers are looking for a new forever home for Lucy, Duci, Cocco and Melo. Share 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestLinkedinTumblrRedditWhatsappTelegram
