During the trial between the couple, a judge demands that the dog be released in the courtroom

Breakups and divorces can be very difficult to collect and manage, especially when there are also children, animals or material goods to share between the couple. This can generate new disputes. In Spain, the law now gives indications on how to proceed for the welfare of the animal in question.

“Judge Judy” is the title of an American reality show in which litigation is handled by Judge Judith Sheindlin.

The success is mainly due to the personality of Judith Sheindlin, a judge who began her legal career in divorce and custody cases. His sensible approach to complainants and defendants is very direct and leaves no room for ambiguity.

In the cases dealt with, there is no question of official law, legally speaking; participants have agreed in advance to independent arbitration and agree to abide by its outcome.

Instead of hearing more stories, she used a simple but effective method to determine who the real owner is. The dog is brought into the courtroom. Then it is released to see who the animal would go to first.
