Zaporizhzhya inhabitant Vladimir Sysa built a unique home and a superstructure atop it. The Position claims that the man constructed the structure out of champagne bottles.

According to Vladimir, the project took 20 years to complete. He began building in the middle of the 1990s, but it wasn’t until 2009 that he completed it.

One of Vladimir’s major problems was finding the bottles. He spent years gathering, cleaning, and preparing each bottle to get the required quantity, frequently repurposing bottles that others had thrown away.

In total, some 8,000 bottles of champagne were needed for the endeavor.

He can now, however, brag that the house stays cool in the summer and warm in the winter thanks to the air in empty bottles.

Today, Vladimir’s house serves as a reminder of the strength of unorthodox thinking and perseverance, demonstrating how even the most basic materials—like empty bottles—can be turned into something significant and long-lasting.
