The suffering dog

We are sure you will wonder why a house in Florida wasn’t entered in weeks. It’s because of the loyal dog sat patiently in a patch of grass outside the door. He guards the foreclosed house hoping that his family might return there.

New friend was with him

After a while a local dog rescuer Gloria noticed the dog who was named Salvatore at his post. The woman immediately knew the dog needed her help.

She just wasn’t physically able to look after him there and spent so much time trying to change the dog’s attitude and make him go with her. She tried everything-good food, water and even toys. The dog loved her but refused to go anywhere with her. He didn’t leave his yard!

Accepting the reality

The only thing that made Salvatore realize that his family wasn’t coming back was a new family that moved there. Salvatore now was waiting for Gloria and when they met the dog let her take him. She was so happy and took the dog to the safety of the Everglades Angels Dog Rescue.

As she tells then the kind dog was very protective of his yard and showed real faith. No one knew the exact reason why his family left that kind and lever puppy there without any protection. And what Is also so important that all the workers and volunteers mentioned that the dog wasn’t aggressive or ferocious. He was just waiting and when hope was totally gone, he accepted the reality.

Salvatore’s new life

Salvatore made so many new friends in his new environment. It was obvious that he was so communicative dog and loved people so much. Luckily they could claim that the dog didn’t have any traumas while raising but losing his family was a big stressful period of time for him for sure.

But things were getting better. So Salvatore, who once refused to see anyone but his family, became one of the active members of the shelter community —jumping up on the couches, playing, making noises and learning new tricks.

Salvatore is now up for adoption through Everglades Angels, and staff members are sure he will find a home soon.

He deserves to have a second chance to find a loving family again, and maybe this time he won’t have to face the same difficulties but will live with his family for the rest of his life. No one knew what happened to his family but neighbors tell that they moved so unexpectedly. We hope that they didn’t mean to leave him there without anyone to take care of him. But anyway if you have a pet remember that you are the most important part of their life and leaving them just like that won’t be the best decision to make in case you have to do that.
