How the actors from the “Problem Child” comedy have changed

It was 1990, when director Dennis Dugan made the action-packed film “Problem Child”. This family comedy gathered at the TV screens not only children, but also adults and gained many fans. It is no coincidence that a year later the creators of the project decided to shoot a sequel.

Time flies unnoticed, and more than thirty years have passed since the release. Let’s find out how the fate of the artists who played key roles develops.

Michael Oliver (Junior)

Just want to note that Michael starred in two parts of the project. At the time of filming, the boy was only nine years old, but this did not prevent him from immediately winning the sympathy of the audience. And all because the red-haired boy with a sly look already had experience working in front of camera lenses.

So from the age of two, Michael successfully starred in an advertisement for a catalog of one of the major retail chains. He continued his profitable hobby after filming a comedy. But his further career did not develop in the best way, although in his words he is satisfied with his fate. Oliver works as an ordinary technician in the musical group “The Samples”. Until the age of 35, he was an enviable bachelor, and five years ago he married his longtime girlfriend Magnolia. He is a non-public person, lives a quiet life.

Amy Yasbeck (Flo)

This actress  played in two parts. First, she reincarnated as Junior’s adoptive mother, and in the second part as Annie – the new lover of the hero John Ritter.

At the time of filming, the filmography of the 28-year-old actress already had about a dozen film roles. The role in the “Difficult Child” brought her not only popularity, but also a meeting with her future spouse. After the end of the project, the actress married Ben Healy – actor John Ritter. Soon the couple had a daughter, Stella.

But, unfortunately, the family happiness of the spouses lasted only four years. At the age of fifty-four, John passed away. Since then, the artist’s widow has rarely acted in films, and has focused on raising a child. Today she plays in one of the theaters and heads a charitable foundation.

Yvianne Schwann (role of Tiksi Young)

Filmed in the second part. At the time of filming, she was only 8 years old.

Quite curious, but this was not the first work of the girl in the cinema. So at the age of 6 she played in the cult film directed by Ron Howard “Parents”. And at the age of nine, she was nominated for the annual American Young Actor Award.

But after starring after Problem Child 2 in the TV series Bill Nye the Science Guy, she ended her acting career. She played in a number of theatrical productions, but eventually began acting in commercials. In 2000, she made her debut as a singer, recorded her first album “Daisies”, but did not gain great fame. Today she is 38 years old. Schwann is raising a son who turned 10 this year. He is fond of extreme tourism, explores caves, conquers mountain peaks.
