Mother had to defend her choice for her daughter’s unusual name. People on internet were being so negative about it

Choosing a name for the baby is very responsible and important moment in the life of parents and of course the baby. We think many will agree that it is he choice of their parents and no one is allowed to choose a name instead of them. But this young parents faced a difficulty on social media and had to defend their choice of the name of the baby.

Bella Davis is a young mom, only 18 years old from Salt Lake City, Utah, US. Her and her boyfriend Reason Robison who is 20, named their six-month-old daughter Polaris. The little girl was born on July 7 of 2022.

This is when strangers online started writing randomly that it “sounds like a disease” and “ The girl needs to be ready to be bullied”. Their choice of the name was disliked by their relatives and loved ones too. They thought it sounded similar to the car manufacturing company Polaris Inc.

Then after receiving all that negative and unnecessary opinions Bella wrote “A lot of people thought of the car manufacturing company, Polaris Inc but I can’t understand why exactly. My sister absolutely hated it but once Polaris was born, she’s started to like it a bit more and lately shared her positive opinion about it.”

Then Bella told that over time her mother also joined her sister and shared her opinion. She said that she doesn’t even read the comments anymore, because she understood that they are just being negative and there is no point in doing that. Bella said that they just have to respect her choice and if they don’t like it just scroll without writing anything negative.

The couple is happy with their decision and ay that it also has a special meaning for them, that is why they don’t care about what others say. They just suggested to be more positive and if you can’t do that, just don’t ruin other’s mood and spirit.
