The abandonment of animals is a real scourge. Unfortunately, every year many cats, dogs find themselves on their own with little chance of survival on the streets. Sometimes they find another animal to rely on and become friends, or are lucky enough to be saved by a Good Samaritan.

This is a beautiful story about one of those beautiful friendships. After an elderly couple left their apartment for a care home, residents saw their dog alone at the entrance to the building. We do not know why the dog had been abandoned, why the family had not sought a solution…

Day and night the animal was in the same place outside the front door. But soon people were happy to see that he was no longer alone.

A stray cat befriended the dog. The duo had become inseparable. They shared the food the residents left for them. At night, they kept each other warm and comforted each other. What is this, if not the cutest thing ever?!

When residents approached, the cat ran away while the dog stayed. Was he looking for his former owners? Was he still hoping for their return? Probably yes…

As winter approached, residents began to worry about their safety. Someone even built a makeshift shelter, hoping it would protect them from the wind and cold. Eventually, a rescue team managed to catch the duo, who were taken to a vet. They were both in good health and were offered for adoption. Residents were reassured that the duo would now find a warm and loving home with their new family.
