Offended dog ran away from home and returned with a note on his head

According to scientists, dogs are able to experience such primary emotions as fear, joy, love, anger, but more complex experiences, such as guilt, are not available to them. Therefore, a golden retriever named Jin Mao was not upset at all because of what he had done. The dog was upset not by the fact that he ate the new owner’s boot, but by the fact that its owner expressed his indignation about this.

The offended retriever hid under the table, and then seized the moment and ran away from the house. It was in the evening, and the owner was worried about the absence of the dog. He went to look for him, but did not find him.

In the morning the search continued, and also to no avail. The owner loved his dog, and he was very upset because of his loss. However, he did not have to grieve for long – by lunchtime, Jin Mao returned home as if nothing had happened. He was clean, well-fed and had a playful mood – the dog clearly did not wander the streets all night. Where was he?

The owner got the answer to his question from a note that was taped to the head of his pet. The owner of a small grocery store on a nearby street reported that this dog wandered into his house in the evening, and before he was noticed, he managed to dine on meat pies that were prepared for sale. The dog ate eight pies and went to bed under the counter. They decided to leave the dog until the morning, and the next day they released him with a note, since the dog was clearly home.
