Parents of 14 sons finally welcome their first daughter. They talked about their feelings and impressions

We want to tell you about the beautiful story of this couple who had 14 boys in their family. They really wanted to have a girl but they welcomed their first daughter only on Nov. 5, 2020, after their 14 sons.

Kateri and Jay Schwandt are from Michigan. They have a really big family. Having 14 kids was happiness for them but having a daughter remained one of their biggest dreams. Their oldest son was already 28-year old at the time their daughter was born

In an interview with a TV channel they talked about their emotions:

“We can’t believe this is happening to us. We waited for her for almost three decades. We keep calling her ‘he’ instead of she because we are used to calling our children like that. We don’t have any pink stuff at home but soon we will have many of them”

You can see the exitance and happiness on their faces in the video bellow. They are really proud that they finally made it. Their children are different ages, adult, teenager, young children and they understand that it is very difficult to give them the attention they need in every period of their lives. But that is what makes their life interesting and better.

“Now she is going to have other interests and we are not going to hear only about hockey and football” said the newborn’s father.
