People rescued a cat with a round face – and he gave them all his love

A cat named Chubby Hubie has lived on the streets of a small town for many years. The locals had been feeding him, but could not provide a home. This year they noticed that Chubby was in serious condition – he was covered in battle scars and walking with a limp.

The animal was rushed to the medical center. It didn’t take long for the doctors to gain his confidence. For the first time in his life, Chubby the cat received a real dose of love and affection. And he couldn’t leave it unanswered.

He chirped and purred whenever the staff came to him and asked for their attention. And, of course, some treats.

“He has such a sweet meow, it’s hard not to do anything he asks for,” said volunteer Kathryn, who took Chubby to the shelter.

Chubby quickly got used to his new home. He immediately showed that tasty cat treats would make their way to his heart. With each passing day, the cat trusted people more and more.

“He stopped running away from the door when I came home and started greeting me. He learned that if he meows loud enough, someone will open the door and give him some attention,” Catherine says.

When the girl decided to brush the cat for the first time, she prepared for the worst. She thought Chubby would put up a lot of resistance. To her surprise, the pet loves scratching.

“Also, Chubby started putting his paw on my hand and wrinkling it as if he was trying to comfort me. It’s an amazing cat. He likes to watch the toilet flush, and he’s always watching my son in the tub, standing with two paws on the edge of the tub,” Catherine says.

Despite the battle injuries Chubby was found with, the cat moves “like a champ,” according to the girl. He jumps on high surfaces and climbs down stairs with ease.

“Chubby Hubby is a real example of what stray cats can trust and love,” the volunteer stressed.
