People saw a dog lying in a crib. How they found out later she was not alone

There are many places to admire nativity scenes during Christmas. This is particularly the case in the Mexican city of Palenque.

A few weeks ago, an unexpected being appeared there. A stray dog indeed stood between the ox, the donkey and the characters from the east. The four-legged friend had found a warm place. And how it turned out later she wasn’t alone!

One of the first to see the animal lying in the straw was local journalist Eric Guzmán. He looked closer and realized that she had recently given birth to adorable little puppies! For lack of anything better, the mother dog had chosen the warmest and safest place for her newborn babies.

As the journalist says he was amazed and happy at the same time seeing her with her puppies in a safe place where they wouldn’t be wet or cold. Guzmán told that It had been cold in Palenque lately and if the mother dog had gone anywhere else they wouldn’t survive for sure.

The presence of the dogs and the appropriate symbolism did not go unnoticed. People came from all over town to admire the scene and bring food and water for them. The municipality even decided that the mother dog and the puppies could stay.

In addition, Dejando Huellitas SOS Palenque assures that the dogs will be taken care of. The organization has already started the search for a golden home, for the end of the holidays. Guzmán hopes this event will leave a lasting legacy and people will be more likely to adopt stray dogs than buy them. We should love dogs no matter where they come from and that way we can help them to live a happy life.
