Players stopped the game because of a stray dog. He stole many hearts and found his forever home

The World Cup is over and some matches were really unforgettable. But none like this one, which was interrupted by a stray dog.

The dog ran onto the field during a match in the Bolivian soccer league between The Strongest and Nacional Potosí teams in La Paz.

The four-legged friend was walking around happily with a stolen football boot in his mouth. From time to time, he stopped to have his belly stroked. He was eventually carried off the field by a player from the home team, Raúl Castro.

The stray, later christened Cachito, captured the hearts of all local fans after their team won the game on Christmas Eve 3-0!

But unfortunately, something bad happened after that. A few days after his fantastic ride in the stadium, Cachito was found in poor condition after being hit by a vehicle.

A local animal shelter rescued the four-legged friend and he fortunately slowly recovered. However, the story does not end there! When Raúl Castro, the player who had hugged Cachito out of the field, learned what had happened, he decided to adopt the dog as soon as he returned from his next game!
