Quadruplets leave their parents speechless with their spectacular birth

Having a child is the dream of many people. There are those who wait before getting married in order to start a family, and those who do it anyway. A desire that appears to be the most “obvious” yet it is not. Many couples manage to have a little one in a short time and in a completely natural way, while others have to wait years and years for it to happen.

Exactly the situation in which the two spouses found themselves at the center of this story, husband and wife who sacrificed everything for 10 years. Justine and Christine Clark are a couple from UK, who met in pub. The two fell in love and decided to get married. Their love was and is very strong, like the desire to create their own family.

“I didn’t come from a large family – confessed mother Christine – but I had always dreamed of becoming a mother and we both shared this desire, so we started making some attempts even before getting married, but without results. I was only 25 wasn’t worried, but after a couple of years Justine and I decided to see our doctor.”

According to the stories of the two, both underwent many tests to verify that everything was ok, but it was not. After several attempts, it was discovered that Christine had polycystic ovaries and she would need help to get pregnant.

The treatments to which this woman underwent were numerous and some even very risky. But the results did not come and the couple was increasingly convinced that their dream would never, ever come true. However, there was one last way forward: in vitro fertilization.

The two were referred to Care Fertility in Sheffield, where two fertilization cycles were carried out, which finally paid off. Christine got pregnant. The case of the Clark family has been followed by many doctors because it is incredible and extremely rare. Their situation occurs once every 4000 years, according to experts. From an embryo born from in vitro fertilization, four births were generated.

To carry the pregnancy to term, however, it was necessary for the expectant mother to stay in bed for a good 24 weeks, while the girls were born premature on the thirtieth. 42 doctors wanted to witness the miraculous birth, intrigued by the rarity of the event. The woman then returned home within a week, while her girls remained under observation for nine weeks. A long time, sure, but necessary for them to be out of harm’s way and healthy.

Despite fears that they might show some problems due to their particularity, the little twins Caroline, Darcy, Alexis and Elisha are doing well. The only characteristic is lactose intolerance and being allergic to dairy products, soy and glucose.
