Teacher spends her retirement comfortably in a little, quiet house she built for thirty thousand dollars!

We frequently assume that when someone finally decides to retire, they will be free from business responsibilities. We have no idea that after retirement, there are a lot more things to consider.

Fears include not receiving enough retirement benefits, worrying about one’s financial stability, wondering where they will live in retirement, and many more. These were only a few of the problems this woman faced.

Brigitte wanted a new location to live after her divorce from her spouse. She felt like a new beginning was what she needed most. When she went to her friend’s house, she happened to find a book about compact, comfortable dwellings.

After taking a quick peek at it, she couldn’t resist the urge to make this her future! Yes, that was when she made one of the most important decisions of her life.  It was time to move beyond her comfort zone and try something new.

Brigitte was eager to learn how to build a home even though she had no prior building expertise. As word got out in her neighborhood, good people sprang up to provide her support.

One friend provided her an old trailer to use as the basis for her new house, and another introduced her to a competent builder who was excited to take on the job. She tells her story in the video bellow!
