Jaylan is the older sibling, who is 22-year old, and after their parents and grandfather passed away, he took that big responsibility of raising his 12-year old brother. Living was very tough for them, their house was damaged during Hurricane Harvey in 2017 and living there was a real challenge for them.

And here is when “Katy Responds” was there to help them. It is an organization that helps people from Katy, Texas that experienced anything like that and needed repairing but couldn’t afford it. And it was not only about the appearance of the house and how it looked, living there was almost impossible and for Jaylan it was very difficult to see the house in that condition and he even thought about selling it.

But fortunately, it didn’t happen. The boys didn’t even recognize their house after the repairing that lasted three months. They were so thankful and mentioned that it was even more than they asked for. They couldn’t hold their tears of happiness.
