These two abandoned children needed a family and here they are now. Matthew and Marshall were born with Pfeiffer’s Syndrome, a rare genetic condition that causes severe head deformities. Unfortunately, as it happens most of the time, the parents placed them for adoption. They explained it saying that children with Pfeiffer’s syndrome need constant care and attention and they were not able to provide it. And it was a 58-year-old nurse who decided to adopt them and give them the love and care they deserve. Both of them were born with skulls much larger than their bodies, bulging eyes and severe deformities in their feet and joints. Linda Trepanier is a mother and nurse with a heart of gold. Although she already has 3 children and several grandchildren, she has cared for many children and provided them with a foster home. Linda also decided to take care of Matthew and Marshall, but she knew the twins would struggle to find a family afterwards. Then one day, social services asked her if she wanted to adopt at least one. Linda knew it was crazy, as Matthew and Marshall demanded constant attention, but she finally decided to adopt the two little ones! Linda says that Matthew and Marshall are two very happy children – when one of them laughs, the other imitates him!
