One of the main features of cats is that they are known to be good hunters. They protect the grain reserves from the invasion of hungry rodents. But domestic cats seem to prefer kibble to fresh meat.

Jorge Byana is the proud owner of a magnificent indoor cat. Obviously, he has a very sociable and gentle character.

One day  Jorge came face to face with a plump mouse in his bathroom, he imagined that the house cat was going to make it his business and show his hunter skills protecting the house.

The owner managed to film the scene and post it on social media. He posted the video on Monday, June 13. We can observe on the sequence the cat-mouse duo perched on the edge of the shower wall. The mouse is then stuck against the wall, its fate seems sealed.

You can clearly see how the attitude of the cat is quite different from others. The tomcat does not reveal any form of aggressiveness and is on the contrary curious, even sympathetic to a mouse that his owners expected him to catch.

This video has already been viewed more than 1.4 million times and there are thousands of reactions. It was interesting for internet users why the cat acted like that and what was the reason for his behaviour.

“It’s because today cats are treated well, they are like members of our family. Not like before, where they had to survive, catch mice, etc. “, commented a user of TikTok. “It’s amazing the change in behavior these days, both of humans and animals, in every way,” another wrote.

A good number of people agree in describing a sincere friendship between the feline and the rodent. Maybe they already knew each other. Anyway, the tomcat has become a real star on the web thanks to his kindness towards a helpless animal.
