The dog needed an expensive operation. His owner sold his car, lost his job and it still wasn’t enough but…

Let’s talk about Randy Etter who is a R&B musician and his dog who had some problems with health.  He had a suspicious weight loss and went from 95 to 70lbs. All of that happened in a very short period of time and Randy began to be worried about the dog’s condition.

Turned out is was because of an intestinal blockage that was caused by swallowing a plastic bottle three weeks earlier while playing. The owner was told by the vet, that Gemini was going to die that day if he didn’t have the necessary surgery. The price was big and Randy couldn’t afford it.

They were in many other clinics and were told the same thing. And the amount of many every time raised instead of decreasing. But he couldn’t even think about what life would be like without his faithful friend and what could happen to him.

So he put his car up for sale and did it for a thousand dollars less than it costed to sale it as fast as possible.  He said that he was ready to do anything to save his best friend because he is priceless for him. Another kind friend of him donated $2,000 since they saw that Gemini needed their help to continue living.

After all of this even that wasn’t enough. Randy did everything he could but they were already running out of time. But suddenly, things started to take a turn for the better. Since his story was shared everywhere S.O.A.R. Initiative (Street Outreach Animal Response) payed an attention.

The organization helped Randy locate a surgeon at the VCA hospital in Fishers for Gemini. Gemini’s story spread everywhere, appeared in international news, as people from different countries started supporting Gemini and his owner.

Gemini now is fully recovered and doesn’t have any serious problems. He just needs to be treated very good and eat only certain things. His owner is the happiest now, and is so attentive to avoid that kind of problems. Let’s say a big thank you to all that kind people who helped to bring Gemini back to normal life.
