The driver found a chained dog. What he did shocked the dogs owners

This is a story which proofs another time that people who are ready to help us in any moment are with us everywhere. They are with us when we really need that and they do it without any odd questions and hesitations. In one word, they are always ready.  

Where and when he found the dog.

In the US one of the kind drivers Gavin Crowley saw a dog on the street who needed help and was in a bad condition. He didn’t let the poor dog without help. On December 15, 2012, when he saw the dog his first thought was that the dog was Dalmatian. He saw that the dog was in a yard tethered on a chain which didn’t even let the dog to move freely. It was cold winter and the dog was standing in the yard full of snow without any shelter.

Gavin tells that there was no any food or water next to the dog too. It was obvious that the dog didn’t eat or drink anything for a while since he could see all its bones clearly. Only the weather was enough for the dog to die there even if it ate something because it was so cold outside.

 The decision

 Gavin seeing all that conditions of the dog couldn’t just walk away and leave. One thing was clear: the dog had an owner but a person like that is not deserved to have a pet. Our kind hero decides to call the Animal Welfare Society to report about the danger that threatened the dog.

Soon the dog received the help she needed. She weighed very little because of her harsh conditions. Later the puppy was named River and of course no one let the dog to stay with her “owners” anymore.

Where did River find love?

Soon when River was treated and was ready for new life she was adopted by a new loving family. River was so loved and felt safe with them and her new family even started posting her photos on social media and she gained so many followers and people who loved her. And one of the most beautiful parts of this story is that River often met her hero, Gavin Crowley, who saved her life and they had huge emotional contact and were always happy to see each other.

Recovering

River gained weight and was happy and healthy again. In 2013 River already knew so many tricks and could amaze anyone. It’s so sad to imagine what could happen to her if kind people such as Gavin didn’t exist. If he just passed by that day River could have died there and never feel loved in her life.

This story helped not only River but also so many other dogs living in bad conditions because so many people after hearing about this chose not to just pass by all the owners who treated their dogs badly and abused them. If they are not ready to treat them as needed it means they just don’t have any rights to own a pet. This story was a very good motivation for so many people.

A bad beginning but a happy end

River passed away On April 15, 2019, surrounded with love and warm hearts. It was so sad and difficult times for her family but they couldn’t do anything but to accept the sad truth. They were just peaceful because they knew that the poor dog who once was left in the cold snowy yard who was not even allowed to move and walk freely, spent the rest of her life with warm hearts and was loved. That is what all the pets and animals really deserve.

Her family continued to help the companies to find dogs who needed help and soon adopted a new puppy who was a newborn and raised him with the same love.

Let the story of River be a good example for you to notice animals like that living in terrible conditions. They need our help and love. We are all able to make our world better place to live for animals like that. Even if you are not ready to have pet just tell about it the people who are ready to help. And of course the most important thing: Don’t adopt a pet if you are not ready to take care and give love.
