Like in the case of this 22-year-old from the outskirts of the Pakistani. His name is Sein Mumtaz and the boy suffers from Proteus syndrome.

This causes a huge deformity in his appearance and the boy’s head grew exorbitantly in height and width over years. His torment and gradual changes in appearance that he undergoes were shown and spoken about in the cult film called “The elephant man”. It is a film by American film director David Lynch, which told about the fate of Joseph Merrick, who lived in England at the end of the 19th century.

Although the locals were quite resigned to the unusual appearance of the guy, he himself was already desperate to find salvation from his illness. His appearance doesn’t allow the poor boy to find a job and make his own money. It is difficult for him to live like that, but he thinks that he needs to work whilst he is young. He knows his health is getting worse and worse and soon he won’t be able to care about himself on his own.

Due to his rare disease, the unfortunate head and limbs continue to grow while his body growth has already stopped. He understands that his appearance may be even scary for others and that is a very sad fact.

There were only 120 cases of this disease in the modern world and the science doesn’t know much about it. According to experts, this is the same attack that once tormented the famous Elephant Man Joseph Merrick.

When the disease began to manifest itself more and more, relatives of Sein managed to get him out of his depressive state and make him smile. Before that the boy decided that it had been sent down to him from above as a punishment.
