The employees did not expect such a surprise

We talk a lot about managers who earn millions and who categorically refuse to increase their employees. Unfortunately, this is common almost everywhere in the world. Maybe if they had more examples of leaders who are truly aware that the success of a company is linked to its employees, they would change their minds. That kind of a very good example is this boss who surprised her employees.

This boss is Sara Blakely. This woman is at the origin of the Spanx brand. She launched her shapewear business with just $5,000 and it was a total success for her. Recently, Spanx was valued at $1.2 billion.

Sara Blakely therefore brought together 500 employees, their children were also invited. Everyone were in very good mood. It was time to celebrate because the businesswoman had sold part of the company to the investment company Blackstone.

And here comes the surprise. The billionaire wanted to have a nice gesture for her employees. She said: “Why do I have a globe?” And the answer was simple: it offers 2 AR tickets in first class, anywhere in the world to its employees.

They were already overjoyed. But suddenly Sara Blakely tells them that obviously, once on vacation, they may want to have a good restaurant, to be in a great hotel and for that, she offers them each 10,000 dollars! They just couldn’t believe it.
