Bobby and Kenny McCaughey found each other and decided to start a family. This story is about how this couple couldn’t have children for a while in their life. It was so difficult for them, but then a miracle happened, and they had a beautiful daughter. When the couple wanted to have their second child, they couldn’t even imagine that they would have not one, but seven children at once instead. Their path was full of difficulties and wonders.

After Mikayla’s, their firs daughter’s birth in 1996, Bobby and Kenny decided to have another child. Doctors advised to explore options for infertility treatment which suggests to use Metrodin. It is a drug that stimulates ovulation and helps a woman get pregnant. Everything was going as usual but ultrasound showed them that she was expecting seven children! The result amazed them and they were just in shock.

When the time of birth has come they were already ready to become a big family and be 10 members instead of only three! They named their children with very beautiful names: Kenny  Robert who was the heaviest child, Alexis May, Kelsey Ann, Natalie Sue, Nathan Roy, Joel Steven and Brandon James.

It was a real miracle for them that all seven babies survived. There were some difficulties and issues with the health of some of them, but they were just small details and there was no serious danger for their life. It was a very awaited event and not only for the family.

Many journalists had to wait a long time in front of the hospital to greet and ask questions the mother who they consider a hero.

The couple was very happy and in interviews they always told how happy their life is. But when the septuplets turned 18, life became a little more different for their parents. It is an important period of time for all of them, and they had to do everything to make sure they all find their right place in life. They wanted to give life advice to septuplets, and only then they realized how difficult it was to do it for so many children at the same time.

Now Alexis and Kenny Jr. graduated from the es Moines Community College. Brandon went to the US Army, proving that he is brave and ready for life challenges.

Kenny Jr. is a very practical person, and he tried to put his experience to good use. Now he is already leading several projects.

Hannibal Lagrange University in Missouri has offered scholarships to all children to attend their school. Nathan, Natalie, Kelsey and Joel accepted the offer at Hannibal-LaGrange.

Lexi found her calling in early childhood education and that is what she chose to do. She occasionally shares her experiences with the world through her social media accounts. And Nathan is the scientist of the family. and he is sure to be the next Einstein.
