The hero cat that saved his family by warning them about the danger

This hero cat’s name is Thor. The clever cat warned his family about a life-threatening danger in their house, carbon monoxide. This is how he managed to save their lives. What a wonderful and precious pet!

Heidi Stamper lives in Michigan with her husband. They have two beautiful children in their family. One night she was sleeping in her house peacefully when she was awakened by the sound of their cat.

“At about 1:45 am, the cat started screaming and it woke me up” Heidi said.

She thought that the cat probably wanted to use the toilet and let him out. A little later, Heidi returned the cat to the house and fell asleep again. But she was still unaware of the danger inside their house, which was the reason for their cat to be nervous.

“Half an hour later, the cat started screaming again, and it woke me up, but this time I was sweating through all my clothes, I couldn’t move, I felt very sick.” Heidi told.

Their family experienced the effects of carbon monoxide poisoning. This was as a result of a power outage in their house and the family installed a portable generator in their garage. They also didn’t have a carbon monoxide detector in the house.

Luckily Thor, their hero, was there to keep them aware of what was going on in their house while they were asleep. The cat’s screech woke the children. Fortunately, they were very clever too, and knew what to do firstly. They found out that their mom couldn’t move and the first thing they did was calling 911. All four in the family suffered from the severe effects of carbon monoxide poisoning.

“Thor played a critical role in saving a family of four.” the fire chief said. Heidi added with tears in her eyes: “If it wasn’t for Thor, we wouldn’t be here. He saved our lives and we will forever be greatful to him”
