Kids The house was vandalized after owners adopted sisters with down syndrome by Impress story 03.01.2023 03.01.2023 41 views Share 0FacebookTwitterPinterestLinkedinTumblrRedditWhatsappTelegram We live in a society where unfortunately not all people are accepted. And this case proves it. This family’s home was vandalized and the reason of that was them adopting two children with a down syndrome. It included hate speech about two sisters, but the kind side of society was shown here by their brothers who decided to defend them. This terrible thing happened in 2011. The family started their day as normal but when they stepped outside they saw something that made them upset. The Hollis family lives in a small town and what they saw was very unexpected for them. Mother, Anne Hollis was the first to see their house sprayed painted. They saw writings like: “Get out of here”, and “Retard”. They couldn’t believe someone could be able to write such negative things just because of innocent children. They took it very seriously. Their sons who are 6 and 7 years old, decided to make a video for defending their sisters. The boys addressed the public and demanded for everyone to stop the use of the word “retard”. We need to live in an equal society and everyone matters. Soon the video gained popularity and everyone found out about this family’s story. It went viral on different social medias, and others shared it to show their respect and to show that they agree with it. You can watch the video of brother’s shared in YouTube bellow. We hope one day we will live as one and everyone will be happier. Be kind and accept everyone as they are. Thank you for reading and being with us.
