The kitten was glued in the middle of the highway. No one wanted to save the poor kitten until finally someone noticed her

Not all people are ready to help a homeless animal in trouble. However, those who find a piece of kindness in their hearts will always be. A perfect example of this is the story of the rescuer of a little kitten named Sticky, which began on October 17, 2018 on a busy highway in the US state of Oregon.

The help received on time

Sticky got her nickname for a reason. At a young age, the cat became a victim of bad people who glued her to the asphalt in the middle of the highway. It was an early hour, people were rushing to work and their cars were just passing by. No one even thought about saving the poor kitten that was hopping for someone to notice him.

It is not known how long the cat spent on the track, but at eight o’clock in the morning she finally was noticed by one kind person. It was a resident of the city of Silvertown engineer Chuck Hawley, who was also in a hurry to work.

Intricate plots

“I was driving near Salem on Silverton Road when I noticed something strange on the road. At first I thought it was some kind of dark box, but when I got closer, I saw a kitten on the highway,” Chuck told reporters.

It broke his heart and Chuck – a kind soul – could not drive past, as others did. He stopped the car, turned on the emergency lights and approached the kitten. However, he could not take the cat in his arms – she was glued to the asphalt with all four paws and even a tail. Someone just put her in a puddle of glue and the cat couldn’t even move. He was shocked that someone could even think of doing something like that to a poor kitten.

Chuck tried to detach the kitten’s legs, but he couldn’t. However, he was able to tear off the glue from the asphalt and thus free the captive. Together with the kitten, he went to work, where he tried to wash it. But the glue was very sticky, and they could only clean it off at the veterinary clinic with mineral oil.

Chuck took the kitten home with him and named her Sticky. He shared the story on his Facebook, and the post quickly went viral. The man received a lot of feedback from all over the world, and soon Sticky became one of the most popular cats on the net.

Lifechanging meeting for both of them

Now Sticky’s savior is a popular personality, animal rights activist and writer. Not only did Chuck change Sticky’s life, but she also changed his destiny. Firstly, the man became famous all over the world, the press often writes about him, and the Sticky page on FB has thousands of subscribers,

Secondly, after saving the kitten, Chuck and his wife founded the non-profit organization “Sticky the Kitty Foundation”. It is a foundation for helping pets who suffer from different health problems, as well as animals from rescue services.

Thirdly, Chuck became a writer and author of a popular book about Sticks, which is sold in large numbers and is now reprinted in hardcover. In 2020, Chuck won the award for the best book for children. Now he lives a happy life with his beloved family and of course pet.
