Youngsters are natural sponges who constantly take in information from their surroundings. Little ones are always listening to their parents and adore nothing more than mimicking and learning from them. Their learning never truly dawns on us, and one day their fresh insights may take us by surprise.

For some parents, it’s the terrible moment when their small child says something offensive to the public or says something dirty. On the other hand, it might be far more genuine and lovely for others. Maria’s Deaf fathers, Christian and Jonathan, were moved when their young daughter began to tap Christian’s hand.

The young child took a time to fumble with her hands before making the sign for “bread.” Clap your fists together. It’s a simple sign, but it was a major step. Christian asked her if she wanted to talk to him in sign language, almost in tears. She says it again, “Bread! Just like the other kids repeat the words they are learning, so do I. Bread!”
