This story is about a true miracle. The 10 year old girl disappeared and her family feared the worst. The violent raging snowstorm made it difficult to rescue her quickly.

On January 13, 2022, little Vika Zarubina from Uglegorsk was due home from school around 1 p.m. But she didn’t go straight home because the little girl had decided to go for a walk. The weather was very bad that day but the children in that region are more than used to that kind of weather. However, the little girl did not return home and did not answer phone calls. His mother, Tatyana was very worried and soon called the police.

Over time, people started to worry more and more, especially when a snowstorm hit the city and got stronger and stronger. Local authorities, together with volunteers, searched everywhere for the little girl. The search was very difficult. Due to the wind and snow, visibility was almost nil. Courtyards, houses, gardens, alleys and the like were searched, but the situation was becoming increasingly precarious.

Then the miracle happened. The next morning, a resident explained that he remembered something. He had seen a little girl playing with a dog near a building! The dog didn’t belong to anyone, someone had built a makeshift enclosure for it and the locals were feeding it.

Quickly, everyone rushed to this hiding place, which was right between the school and his house. At 7:30 a.m., they found Vika on a mattress, hugging the dog! The place had provided shelter from the freezing wind and snow. Vika and the dog were together trying to survive the cold. The girl had hugged the dog and was wearing warm clothes. The temperature was very law and it was areal challenge for the little girl. She was taken to hospital, but was allowed to go home the same day since there was nothing serious with her health.

Because she was afraid of the storm and it was getting dark, the young girl took refuge next to the dog. Volunteers and her family members claimed that the fact that the girl survived such weather is truly a miracle. All night the search party had seen almost nothing and their hands, in thick mittens, were so cold they could barely stretch their fingers. In the morning they even started to fear that she was not alive but fortunately everything ended well.

It turned out that the love of animals saved the girl and if she wasn’t with the dog, maybe everything would end the other way. The hero dog immediately received many gifts.
