While his wife is confined to the hospital for dementia, Sam Jones who was 90 at a time, came with his son Jamie to take care of Nellie, his nearly 90-year-old companion.

Being 70 years in marriage, Sam does not intend to let Nellie’s dementia keep him away from his partner. As they stand next to her, her son managed to capture a very moving video that shows Sam caring for his wife with love and devotion.

It’s a simple yet intimate and beautiful gesture, of a 90-year-old man combing his wife’s hair in her hospital bed. He shows affection and wants to make sure she feels well.

Staying as long as possible at her bedside each day, he slips a comb through her hair, saying:

“You used to do my hair, but I never did the same for you before, Nellie. It’s the first time for that, you know that? »
