The ideal house that James and Mandy were going to buy has taken a surprising and gloomy turn. After five years of marriage, the couple finally moved into their dream home in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, but they are now questioning their choice after learning some unsettling facts.

When the couple noticed a strange floor hatch in their kitchen—a detail overlooked on their first walk-through with the real estate agent—their delight quickly gave way to worry. The couple was determined to find the mysteries hidden beneath their new house, and they happened upon a key in a ventilation shaft in their home study, which was an unexpected find.

They entered a dimly lit basement filled with old furniture, wine barrels, and framed portraits after finding the secret entrance behind an antique cabinet in the kitchen. But their discoveries went farther than that. The couple discovered, much to their surprise, the house’s original 1887 designs in a small lockable hatch in the basement along with a box of vintage recipes.

The Fisers discovered their ideal house had a darker past when they dug more into its past. Strange jars of preserved food and, much more unsettling, a variety of animal carcasses were present within the package.

Scout, her dog, began barking in the living room corner, pointing her in the direction of another hidden vent that wasn’t shown in the most recent blueprints.

The grisly discovery disturbed the Fisers, who called specialists to look into it more.
