Monkeys are very intelligent animals and their resemblance to us is always surprising. Among the great apes, we often talk about orangutans who are unfortunately decimated because of human activity and in particular because of the production of palm oil or more generally poaching and deforestation.

And we offer you the proof once again in this article that we want to show you. This orangutan offered his help to a man who was eliminating snakes in the reserve where the great apes live. The heartwarming moment shows an orangutan trying to help a man standing in a river by offering his outstretched hand. The beautiful photos were taken by amateur photographer Anil Prabhakar from Indonesia, who was on safari with friends.

Later, Anil discovered that the man was actually working in the water for the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation – a non-profit organization that protects endangered species.

Anil said: “Someone told him there was a snake in the river. The keeper went there and cleared the bushes. An orangutan came to the shore and looked at what he was up to. He then moved closer and held out his hand.”

In the end, the guard didn’t take the hand, because it was a wild orangutan he didn’t know. The photos came out to be incredible. You can share these photos with your friends and show them how amazing animals can be! Thank you for reading and being with us!
