They met in 1966 during of filming “The One and Only”. They actually were never that close and everything was unexpected for them too.

Loving secretly

Hawn was 21 years old and in her opinion 16-year-old Russell was attractive and handsome. She knew that he was too young for her at the time. Maybe that was the main reason that she never did any made moves or showed anything. Maybe he thought the same way and didn’t do anything too.

Meeting again

Their meeting after the first film was so interesting, because they married different people before meeting each other again. Hawn got divorced after two unsuccessful marriages. But she had two beautiful children. Russell had a son too, from his first marriage. He got divorced in 1983.

And that was the year, when two souls met again. It was while filming ”Swing Shift”. It didn’t take long for both of them to realize that the attraction they had in past was between them again. They knew that there was something about each other that was bringing them very close together and it had no explanation.
