The beginning of a beautiful story

In a small town in the northern United States, live two unique people, sisters Abby and Brittany Hensel. Their peculiarity is that for two women they have two heads, two hearts, two spines, but one common body with a pair of arms and a pair of legs. Their parents are ordinary residents of the city, a carpenter and a nurse. The family also has a brother and a sister.
Already at the birth of their daughters, the parents decided not to separate them: no one could give an absolute guarantee that as a result of surgery, both would survive. For dad and mom, the most important thing was the life, health and happiness of both girls.

Growing up

Years passed, special girls grew up. Residents of the city no longer turned around at them when they saw them outside. Thanks to the support of their parents, their positive attitude towards life, the girls grew up open and very sociable. They ride a bike, drive a car, and most importantly, they do everything to their life fully.

Study and work

Over time, the sisters received a university education. When choosing a specialty, they had to think. The fact is that girls have different hobbies: Abby loves math more, and Brittany likes art classes. In the process of discussion, they came to a compromise and chose the profession of a primary school teacher with an in-depth study of mathematics.

After graduating from the university, the sisters got a job in their specialty and began to work in the lower grades. The fact that for two they receive one salary does not bother the sisters. Although they may sometimes do two things at once (for example, checking written work and explaining a misunderstood topic to a student), they agree that in general they are doing the work of one person.

But at the same time, together, by their example, they instill in their students tolerance, respect for people not for external data, but for internal qualities. From school years, it becomes clear to children that one must always confidently go towards the goal, achieve it, overcoming all obstacles, and not become isolated in oneself.

Daily life

In their daily life the sisters have different preferences. Abby hates milk, but her sister loves it. One is sharper, the other is artistic. Sometimes it seems that they are able to read each other’s thoughts: the phrase started by one sister is finished by another, they often speak in unison. But what is the reason for this: a partially common organism or the spiritual intimacy of the sisters – it is impossible to find out.

Brittany and Abby buy clothes in a regular store. Only after the purchase is altered, making another neck. Coordinating their half of the body, they even learned to play the piano. But the difference in height, to which they adapted while maintaining balance, still created a difficulty in mastering the technique of moving on a Segway. Only something tells us that with their perseverance, this vehicle will certainly submit to the sisters.
