The story of the dog with an uncommon disease. How did he survive?

The story of this little puppy began back in 2019, when Skiatook Paws and Claws Animal Rescue had a new rescued dog in their shelter, and his was Phoenix. Unfortunately, as many other dogs, he was found in terrible conditions too, and needed to be treated.

Vets explained that he didn’t have any physical abuse, but they were sure he was totally neglected by his “owners” who had to care about him, but as they didn’t the poor dog reached that condition.

Skin and Bones. The best way to describe his physical condition at the moment he was found.  He had swelling and inflammation on his face, and he was very weak.

After spending more time with Phoenix the volunteers and the vets of the shelter concluded that the dog probably had a very rare autoimmune disease.

The dog went through a lot, but was still so sociable and sweet to people. He spread love around him, and everywhere he gone.

Soon the needed medical treatment was given him and everything seemed to be okay. But workers were worried about his future since the disease left a huge change on his appearance and maybe he could never find a loving home to feels special in the family.

But everything gone very good and one woman saw him and just fell in love with his special look. Her daughters just admired him from the moment they saw him.

The dog acted very active around them too, workers claimed that he felt their real energy and positive vibe and love. That’s why they needed just seconds to have each other’s hearts.

But this beautiful and happy story didn’t have that happy ending, because Phoenix left them sooner than they could expect. It happened in June of 2020. His family managed to show all it’s love and they are happy that the amount of time that was meant for him to live, he spent in love and surrounded with warm hearts.
