Being a teacher is not just a job. Working as a teacher you become responsible for many things and need to realize the seriousness of what you do as a n educator. These are exactly Kenya Campbell’s thoughts.

It was always difficult for her to see how students attend school not having basic things they need. She tells about Cherry Hill which is a lower social-economical area in south Baltimore. The teachers there always saw the problems of their students and did everything to help them.

One of the biggest things that was done for them, was when The Baltimore Teachers Union and First Book had a partnership and provided books to their teachers and students. But they were surprised to receive not books, but basic things they needed for daily life.

In the boxes they found soap, clothes, towels, other hygiene stuff and etc. They created a care closet, that was called an emergency closet for all the families and students who would need help at any time.

Watch the video bellow, and see their emotions receiving the gifts, they really needed it to be able to focus on their education more. Support us by sharing this with your friends and family too! Enjoy watching.
