The woman gave couple a weird wedding gift and they can’t open it 9 years later. What was in there?

In more and more wedding guests leave cash for a project or participate in a pre-defined gift list. People don’t want to be creative anymore, but being creative can make someone happy and make them remember your gift for the rest of their lives.
Great Aunt Allison had made a special gift for the new couple, Kathy and Brandon Gunn and was different from others. It sounded very special and interesting: they were allowed to open it only after their first argument.

Nine years later, the gift still intact on a shelf. There had of course been small arguments and disagreements, but they did not dare to open the box.

“I think we both didn’t want to think about the box because we would accept it as a failure. For us, that would mean we couldn’t make our marriage a success – and we’re both too stubborn and determined” Kathy said.

Kathy and Brandon were convinced the box would hold the secret to a good marriage. After all, her aunt had been married for over 50 years.

That simple box, that could even not contain anything, taught them what a real strong marriage is. That woman surely has her huge good impact in their marriage.

What was in the box? There were two different envelopes, one for Kathy and one for Brandon, two hundred dollars, bath salts and wine glasses.

“Kathy, go get pizza, shrimp, or something you both like. And prepare a bubble bath.”

“Brandon, buy flowers for your wife and bring a bottle of wine.”

In the end, this box meant a lot more to Kathy and Brandon than the material content. Of all the gifts they received on their wedding day, this was the gift that meant the most to the couple and they will remember it forever.
