The story took place in a small town. The elderly woman lived alone. Her grandchildren visited her sometimes but most of her time she spent alone. To escape from loneliness, she walked a lot, admired nature. On one of these walks the woman found a small kitten near the forest thicket. He meowed plaintively. He was probably very hungry and very cold.

The woman couldn’t leave him there alone. She took him with her, fed him milk and did verything to make him feel better. The kitten began to grow incredibly fast. The elderly woman treated him like a child and gave all her love. He often sat on her lap, caressed, but he never purred. Soon, the fluffy became so big that it did not fit in her arms, but the old woman did not see anything unusual in that. She thought that he grew up like that from homemade food and good care.

Despite the fact that he grew larger than the largest domestic cat, for her he was still the same cute, small, hungry kitten. No one would ever know about this story, if not for one incident that made an elderly woman and her cat famous.

One day, early in the morning the woman went for a walk, leaving her cat to sleep sweetly in the closet. He liked to sleep there, wrapped in his owner’s scarf. But that day his sleep was disturbed.

Three local alcoholics have been watching this woman’s house for a long time, thinking that they can find something valuable there. And that day, when the woman left, they broke in, and turned everything upside down.

One of them opened the closet in which the woman’s beloved pet was sleeping sweetly, hoping to find treasures there, but instead, a strange creature suddenly jumped at him. The man was doomed, the cat deftly grabbed his throat and knocked the man to the floor. The second robber ran to see what a commotion was in the room, and a huge cat attacked him too. The third one just ran away.

When the woman returned, she was shocked by what she saw and immediately called the police. The employees who arrived at the scene simply froze in place, afraid to enter.

It turned out that the woman’s huge cat was not just a cat, but a wild predatory beast. In nature, this furry killer is called Manul. These cats are very dangerous and cannot be tamed.

When the police saw him, they forgot the reason for the call and thought that the cat was the problem but the woman of course didn’t let them hurt her cat.

How did it happen that the wild Manul was so close to civilization? How a single woman managed to tame this animal. All this remains a mystery. But one thing is still clear, the kind and sensitive attitude of a person to an animal, the great love that this woman gave, created a real miracle.
