Interesting The zoo workers couldn’t believe it. A very rare birth of elephant twins by Impress story 17.11.2022 17.11.2022 53 views Share 0FacebookTwitterPinterestLinkedinTumblrRedditWhatsappTelegram Animal’s giving birth to a new life is as important as for people. They increase their population and make the world more beautiful with their presence. It is even more special and of course harder when the animal is giving birth to twins. As you may know, it is actually very rare for so many species, to give birth to twins. This fact makes it more remarkable and unforgettable. The story that we are about to share with you, is about that very special case. One of the zoos in Syracuse, New York named The Rosamond Gifford Zoo, recently, on October 24, made an announcement about an Asian elephant Mali and Doc who became parents of two adorable baby twin elephants. This case is very remarkable because only less than 1% of Asian elephants ever gave birth to twins. Unfortunately even in that 1 percent, elephants are being stillborn. In worst cases unfortunately the mother elephant is not being able to survive. But fortunately, in this story everything was fine and everything was totally fine with their health. The first baby elephant weighed 200 pounds, the second one 237 pounds. The zoo, though, reported about some difficulties that appeared especially during the birth of the second twin. But everything ended well, and everyone happily celebrated that day. As many workers claim, it was one of the happiest days for them in their career. That words really show all the love the workers have for the animals, and how important animal birth is for them. The arrival of the second twin reportedly left staff “astonished” due to the rarity, but the staff was prepared for any situation and worked to keep the newborns healthy. It really was a historical birth for that zoo, as there are only 20.000 Asian elephants left. They receive special treatment and workers follow them to be healthy and safe.
