They did this to help many dogs from being euthanized. From aggressive to kind again

This wonderful new program gives a second chance to the dogs who were considered dangerous for the environment. They help the dogs to have a normal attitude again and turn them into police dogs so they can help people. And here is how is all this being done.

The sad truth

We live in 21^st century and think that people won’t hurt animals on purpose. But the sad truth is that there are still people that train dogs and make them so aggressive so they can have fun an engage them in fights. It is so hard to believe that people like that still exist. It is so traumatizing for a dog and can cause so many serious mental problems. And they do it just to have fun.

Our story is about the dogs who had that kind of behavior and were close to being euthanized since they were caught by an illegal animal control network in 2015 in Canada. But soon they were saved by people who protested against it.

The hero

Carol Skaziak is a founder of the Throw Out the Dogs project. He is the one who decided to help them. He understood that the solution of this problem is so easy. They had to just rehabilitate the dogs who had behavioral problems.

The first dogs who the volunteers started to work with were Nibbles, Dallas and Hansel. And they succeeded!

The transformation that amazed everyone

Today, Hensel is working with police in new Jersey. All the work done with them helped them to change completely. He was so clever dog and now can recognize and distinguish a smell of more than 15 flammable liquids. Everyone loves him and the workers are sure Hensel understands that his work is something important. They always say that it is so difficult to imagine that the dog they are working with, used to be so aggressive that even being near him was impossible. Imagine how afraid he was from people.

The other two dogs who were the first in this experiment also studied and were trained to work with people and overcome the trauma. They stopped to be afraid of people, stopped to accept others as their old owners who only taught them to be aggressive.

The result

This kind people retrained more then 100 dogs and saved them from being euthanized. And of course they continue to do that but we hope one day we won’t need to deal all with this because of the not responsible “owners”. Now all this wonderful dogs save many lives and protect our streets.
