This couple became the youngest grandparents ever, but you won’t guess exactly how old they are

For three months, a fairly young couple became grandparents.

But they are happy to seem in a new role and say there were more pitfalls than they could have hoped for.

In 2020, the couple’s daughter Charmaine shared the news of her pregnancy with her parents. The girl was 16 at the time, and she named the father of the unborn child as her boyfriend, whom she had been dating for two years.

When her parents found out the truth, they were in no hurry to fight with the boyfriend and his parents. This is due to the fact that Jenni also became a mother quite early – at the age of 17, and she has not forgotten how her close people refused to support her. The woman decided not to repeat the mistakes of her relatives.

“I understood how my daughter felt, deciding to tell the truth. But I told her right away that it was her decision, and whatever it was, I supported it. From that moment on, Charmaine matured quickly – it’s only natural, because she was getting ready to be a mom,” says Jenni Medlam.

The girl gave birth to a healthy baby in the summer of 2021. The girls were named Isla-May. The newly minted grandparents are happy that their daughter made the right decision, and they also say that the baby girl looks a lot like their daughter at the same age. Jenny is now 34 years old and Richard is 35.

“When we go for a walk with the baby girl, people around us are sure it’s our baby. But we try to explain that it’s our granddaughter. A lot of people think it’s a joke.”
