Their white wool doesn’t shed on its own and it is very important for them to get rid of their coat, that may make moving difficult for them. Their wool is also used as a fine, expensive fleece.

This is the story of one Tasmanian sheep that found out what it’s like to not to be sheared for a long time. The story of the sheep starts in the farm of Netty and Peter Hazell from Tasmania. They were both very amazed, when they randomly spotted a very wooly sheep wandering on their property.

The poor animal was in a horrible condition. He remained like that for a long time away from the farm. The coat was so much, that he couldn’t even see. Walking for him was difficult too. Just imagine how heavy it was for him.
