All people are wonderful creatures and many of them can create real beauties and wonders themselves. Sometimes it’s hard to believe that everything around us is built by humanity. But still there are places being built on earth that will amaze us anyway. This is one of that cases.

The hero of this story is 67-year-old R.A. Paulette who is a New Mexico resident. He creates stunning caves with his own hands. Every day he digs huge tunnels and caves in the sandstone using a shovel, a pick and a cart. He then decorates them with various patterns and makes them look stunning.

Thanks to his perseverance and unbelievable skill, This incredible artist was able to achieve shocking results. Huge caves at the end of the work turn into picturesque premises. Ra Paulette receives a very symbolic amount for his work. In one of the interviews, the creator of that wonder admitted that he does it solely for pleasure. Every minute spent in the future “museum” meant much more to him than the award he received. So he just enjoyed his time by doing that.

Ra Paulette has already 14 stunning caves and is currently working on the 15th with the same pleasure. That is going to be his best work as he claims since he has been working on the walls of his latest creation for over 10 years and it is still not finished. You can already imagine how much effort and love he puts in his works.

For him that places are the most special places on earth. After R.A. Paulette’s first work became successful, he began to receive commissions. However, he refused all of them, explaining it with the words that he was not ready to follow the instructions of the clients. He needs to have a real inspiration to work, not instructions.

Paulette is also very famous outside of his homeland too. There was even a movie made about him called “The Cave Digger”, which was nominated for an Oscar in 2013. That’s all about this wonderful person and his magical works. If you liked this, you can support us by sharing this with your family and friends who are maybe interested in art.
