This man has a void inside – his body is missing four organs, but he runs and leads a full life

Juan Dual is a man of 36 who has a passion for running. But he is an unusual man who often talks about the emptiness that lives inside his body.

This is due to the absence of several organs. The man’s body lacks a stomach, a colon, a rectum, and a gallbladder. In spite of all the difficulties, Dual has learned to live with this condition.

When Juan was a teenager, doctors gave him a disappointing diagnosis of adenomatous polyposis. Several family members had the condition because it was inherited.

As part of the ailment, a large number of polyps form on the walls of the intestine. Patients with such diagnoses have an increased risk of cancer.

His first surgery was done when he was 18 years old – then the rectum was amputated, ten years later the problem reached the stomach, so it had to be removed as well.

A little later, the gallbladder began to inflame, caused by pathogenic bacteria, as a result had to be removed and this organ.

After the surgery, the man lost weight to 58 kilograms and was disabled because he could not move around normally. However, Juan decided to make every effort for a successful recovery, after which he returned to England.

Here the man found a job, began to enjoy running and made friends with interests.
